The 28th Annual Long Beach International City Bank Marathon Is Now Only 3 Months Away. This Marathon Is Historically Older Than The L.A Marathon & Is Also One Of The Largest Community Events In The City Of Long Beach, California.
It's Actually Several Events Rolled Into One That Includes The Full Marathon, The Half Marathon, The 5K Run, The Wheel Chair Event, The Race Walkers, The Kids Fun Run & The Bike Tour.
This All Takes Place On A Very Scenic & Fast 26.2 Mile World Class Marathon Course That Runs Mostly By The Coastal Waters Off Long Beach w/ A Minimal Change In Elevation.
There Will Be All Types Of Rock & Roll Bands, Jazz & Blues Bands, DJ's & Other Various Forms Of Entertainment Lining The Race Course Along w/ The Many Thousands Of Spectators & Volunteers Cheering On All The Runners.
In Addition, There Is A World Class Expo As Well As A Finish Line Festival That Is Second To None Which Also Includes A Beer Garden...
As A Volunteer For This Event For Well Over 20 Years Now, I Have Personally Witnessed It's Early Grass Roots Growth Of A Few Hundred Runners To It's Now Current Level Of About 25,000 Total Marathon Race Participants.
